Medienhaus Lectures at University of the Arts Berlin

10689592_382663295232488_9054342905400479564_nFor the winter semester 14/15 at Universtiy of the Arts Berlin Susanne and her colleagues Jenny Baese, Thomas Lehner, Franziska Morlok and Martin Conrads organised a series of three lectures by invited speakers. We have been very pleased to welcome: Ludovic Balland, Experimental Jetset and Laucke/Siebein. For all who missed it: It will probably go on with other speakers next semester!



The seminar “Atlas Exzentrischer Normalität”, led by Susanne Stahl together with Carola Ebert and Julia Gill at University of the Arts Berlin has been granted the BERLIN UNLIMITED AWARD! We will present the results at the symposium on October 4 at ZK/U in Berlin!

New client: The Owners Forum


The Owners Forum connects owners of leading family enterprises for the purposes of knowledge exchange and economic cooperation.

We will advise them on design issues and develop new products in print and digital in the next few months.

Olympus – Photography Playground, the project we developed the visual identity for, won gold at the 2013 EVA Awards for best “360 Grad Event”. Thanks to everyone involved!

Mut zur Wut 2013

Amongst 2120 posters from 66 nations, two of our posters were selected as two of 30 winner motives at Mut zur Wut. Many thanks to the jury (2x Goldstein, Yang Liu, Armin Lindauer and Stephan Bundi), we really appreciate this.

The second journal issue emerged from “Methodenlabor” in winter term 12/13. This seminar, which Susanne Stahl lectures, was dedicated to the essential repertoire of visual systems by analysing basic elements and using a methodical approach to learning design. The fashion label Mazine’s brandbook is in production – it is currently being printed at Gallery Print, Berlin.

Lecture and workshop in Brno

Together with Alexander Lis, we flew over to Brno in Czech to give a lecture and host a 2-day workshop. Many thanks to our fabulous hosts The Rodina.

University of the Arts — MLab in summer term

“Methodenlabor”, the seminar of studio class “Visual Systems” of Prof. David Skopec and lectured by Susanne Stahl, was again responsible for preparing the class exhibition for their Final Show. The students developed a modular concept for the exhibition as well as a publication representing their projects. In addition, they developed a dynamic, experimental photo concept that allows students to interact in the space. Please have also a look at www.udk.skopec.com.

Report “Serial housing”

Architects Dr. Andrea Benze, Dr. Julia Gill and Dr. Saskia Hebert asked us to design the “Serial Housing” report commissioned by Berlin’s Senate Department for Urban Development. This project was initiated on the occasion of the planned ”Internationale Bauausstellung” (IBA) in 2020.

University of the Arts — Atlas of eccentric normality

Susanne Stahl collaborated with architects Dr. Julia Gill and Dr. Carola Ebert in a seminar on suburban living, an interdisciplinary research seminar for students from Architecture and Visual Communication. The students researched processes of individualism and standardization related to sociological aspects such as population structure and occupancy. Their work resulted in interviews, cartographies and information graphics.

Manystuff — Kunstkammer

For “Kunstkammer”, Manystuff have included our work in an exhibition of posters created by international contemporary designers such as Experimental Jetset, M/M Paris, Vier5, Laurent Fétis, Fanette Mellier, Frédéric Teschner, and Pierre Vanni. Manystuff will exhibit the posters within a reproduction of a 17th century cabinet of curiosities.
